The Columbus Memoirs is the third album from Nick Toczek and Signia Alpha.
The vinyl album consists of ten brand new songs including Dignity which was released as a single in January 2022 and Another Shoreline which will be the album’s second single. The music ranges from guitar-driven new wave indie-rock to Zappa-tinged jazz grooves. Paul Gray (The Damned, Eddie & The Hot Rods, UFO, etc) contributes his distinctive bass to four of the ten tracks. Added to this soundscape are the powerful lyrics of performer-poet and storyteller Nick Toczek.
The CD consists of these ten songs plus a further nine sample tracks taken from the two previous Nick Toczek & Siugnia Alpha albums, Walking The Tightrope (2021) and Shooting The Messenger (2020).
The heavily illustrated 120-page book contains the lyrics of all three albums, details of each recording, and the back-stories of Nick Toczek, Matt Webster (aka Signia Alpha), and all twelve guest musicians.

Shooting The Messenger, the debut album by Nick Toczek & Signia Alpha, was released as a limited edition, heavyweight purple vinyl LP on 20 November 2020.
This release is a reworked and remixed version of the CD and download album, released earlier in 2020 on Mutiny 2000 Records.
Vocals and lyrics are provided by Yorkshire poet and author Nick Toczek. The music is by Signia Alpha, the musical project of drummer and producer Matt Webster (who also features on guitars, bass, mandolin & keyboards) which is augmented by a fluid line-up including Mark Cranmer (bass), Keith Jafrate (saxophone), Chris Walsh (flute), Jack Atkinson (guitar), Dee Bo General (vocals), Stephen Andrews (Guitar), Jonny Botterell (bass) and Emmanuel Williams (guitar).

Walking The Tightrope, the second album by Nick Toczek & Signia Alpha, is available as a limited edition transparent yellow vinyl LP and as a limited edition CD.
The album is a blend of Nick Toczek’s poems and spoken word over dynamic funk and rock grooves with driving bass and guitars with sections of laid back jazz.
Central to the whole project are the lyrics and vocals of performer-poet Nick Toczek and drummer and producer Matt Webster.
The album features contributions by many distinguished musicians, including a guest appearance by Paul Gray, bassist with The Damned, Sensible Gray Cells, UFO and Eddie & The Hot Rods, on the track ‘Best Wishes’.
